Thyme deserves a place in all herb gardens as it works wonderfully as a seasoning for meat, fish, soups, vegetables and sauces. It can also be infused for herbal tea. A compact, easy-care plant, it boasts lovely long-lasting flowers. Cultivation: Seed is best started into growth in Spring. Perhaps somewhat better started in a pan or tray as the seeds are not large. Established seedlings should be set some 18 inches apart.
