How To Steal Some Of Meghan Markle’s Most Iconic Royal Looks
All the way from America and landing straight into our British hearts, Meghan Markle has quickly become a fashion icon, so we’ve picked out the best of her looks to steal her style
As the hot new royal couple celebrate their one-year anniversary, as well as the birth of their very first child, Archie, it’s difficult to believe it’s been just over a year since the American beauty entered our lives here in England. We would be lying if we said we didn’t catch some royal fever after the pair’s stunning wedding and arrival of the adorable baby Sussex; not to mention our royal Instagram notifications were switched on immediately, giving us a new lease of noble life. And since Meghan Markle proved to be a fellow fashion expert, we have found it especially difficult to not fan-girl over her – her own #ootd Insta would be the icing on that sweet regal cake. But beggars can’t be choosers, as we stick to scrolling through endless fashion tabloids, who have their fingers firmly on the Duchess of Sussex’s fashion pulse.
Through the array of lavish Gucci, Stella McCartney and Dior pieces, she’s been spotted wearing some now-trending high street numbers, including an H&M maternity dress and a Reiss monochrome midi – gasp! Even our American designer-loving Duchess cannot resist some humbling high street steals, which gave us some much-needed hope so we too can dress like our current style muse. As a minimalist with exquisite taste, Markle is someone we could all take a leaf out of the crested fashion book from, and with a little bit of help from our go-to retailers, we’ve managed to mimic some of our favourite Duchess of Sussex looks.
Is the update of your seasonal style overdue? Meghan has all the ideas, and we’ve got all the products to give your wardrobe that sunny royal facelift it wants this summer.
With beige tones and light, natural shades trending enormously this season, it was inevitable Markle would eat up this minimal style. Play up with neutral tones, opting for a dress and light jacket combination topped off with a classic black heel for the cooler summer days.
When in doubt, go for Meghan’s classic monochrome looks that she always falls back on. A summery black dress paired with a lightweight, white blazer is the luxury summer vacay look you’ll be living in this season.
Get Wimbeldon courtside ready with some summer stripes just like the Dutchess of Sussex. A navy and white shirt paired with some creamy wide-leg trousers will do just the trick, and if you want to go for the full look top it off with a fedora hat.
The essential of the summer season; a floral. And a floaty maxi or midi dress won’t go a miss when the hot sun comes out. Meghan’s blue number once gave us summer blues, but now we can finally live the fantasy as the weather turns around.
