The Learning Shop is a unique partnership between Bluewater, North Kent College and the Department for Work and Pensions. Established in 1999 and focusing on employability within the local community The Learning Shop delivers a wide range of services; including professional World Class training, development, business solutions and recruitment for Bluewater.
The Learning Shop works in partnership with Bluewater to deliver “The Spirit of Bluewater” programme; which is a great example of Bluewater’s commitment to guest experience and all employees across the centre. The programme consists of in-depth Bluewater tour and an award winning workshop written exclusively by The Learning Shop.
The Learning Shop website is the only official Bluewater job site. They have around 15,000 hits per month and broker approximately 3,500 vacancies a year including mass recruitment for new store openings. The service is currently used by over 95% of Bluewater employers. Each year The Learning Shop hosts an annual jobs fair for Bluewater offering a significant growth in the number of vacancies offered year-on-year.

The Learning Shop specialises in retail, hospitality and customer service. They provide a variety of tailored training services including bespoke CV writing support, Interview Technique training, Visual Merchandising in Modern Retail, Bridging the Gap programme for school leavers, Pre-Employment programme and more.
The Learning Shop training services are industry recognised and written by Retail Experts to equip delegates with the necessary employability skills. On average 50% of learners find work soon after completing the Pre-Employment programme. The Learning Shop also works with local schools to deliver Bridging the Gap programme to their students; helping young adults in their transition from education into employment.

The Learning Shop offers room and pod hire for interview, disciplinary, meeting and training purposes (etc.). PC and Internet use, Printing, Photocopying, Fax and other services are also provided on site.
Room hire: Equipment & VAT included in room prices- Wi-Fi, projector, laptop, flipchart, pens and paper.
